Our Sundays

Sunday Service – 10.30

We are an active family church and welcome everyone to our Sunday services:

Our service begins with all ages worshipping together, often including creative sharing of bible stories. The children then move to their groups, whilst adults remain for further worship and bible teaching. Our aim is to help people establish and grow in their relationship with God, and practically apply their faith in everyday life.

Refreshments are served in the Church lounge after the service.

Services are also available on Zoom for those who are isolating. Please contact us for the details.

Sunday Prayer – 10.00

We meet before the service for prayer each week in the green room while teams set up for the service.

Student Life – 19.00

Home Groups

We have several small groups which meet in houses around the village throughout the week, these groups are fantastic places to get to know one another, support and encourage each other through the ups and downs of life; ask questions; and grow in faith.

With around 6-14 people in each group, they are all different in style and character.  We encourage you to find one that will suit you.

Home Students

Leaving home can be both an exciting and sometimes daunting time, meeting new people and having new experiences. We’re a local, lively village church on the doorstep of the Sutton Bonington Campus of the University of Nottingham.

At SB Baptist Church, students from any church background (or none) have the opportunity to make friends, be cared for, get involved in church life or just sit on the periphery; the choice is yours. We have a lot to offer as a place where students find a home from home with lunches and a warm welcome. For many years we have welcomed students from all over the country, and beyond, many of whom still keep in touch.

iNTERNATIONALS

Students

International students are most welcome at student life, as well as this overseas students and post-graduates have a special welcome and place in our church family.  Several of our regular church members have lived, studied and worked overseas and understand the particular excitements, delights and challenges of living in a new culture.

Along with the Globe cafe run on campus, SBBC holds weekly international student bible studies aimed specifically at welcoming overseas students.

Mosaic gROUP

Are you new to this country? Would you like to know more about life in the UK and enjoy friendship in a relaxed atmosphere (with opportunity to practise your English too)? Perhaps you may like to share a little about your country and customs with us! You will be most welcome to join us (any pre-school aged children are also welcome).

We currently meet on an adhoc basis on Friday afternoons on SB campus, and for occasional meals together. Activities we organise may include outings, cooking, crafts, discussions, etc.

We have a flourishing young adults community who meet for social events. We encourage young adults to get stuck into serving in church life, and join in with one of our home groups.
